"It's All About the Kids"...
The Schuchard Volunteer Organizations(SVO) strives to enhance the learning experience of our students at Schuchard Elementary by not only providing many fun activities for the community, but more importantly providing essential learning materials for our kids. All donations we receive go directly back to the students to help pay for field trips, buses, playground equipment, school assemblies, extra curricular activities, as well as a host of other necessities that provide an enhanced educational experience. We also provide many family freindly events throughout the school year that help encourage fun and enjoyable interactions between parents, teachers, and students. These events offer the opportunity to become more active in your childs education and help provide a fun night out for friends and family.
WE'RE THINKING ABOUT CHANGING!! . . .
Back in January we put together a committee for the purposes of reviewing our current by-laws. From time to time we do this in order to ensure that our organization has the room it needs to continue to grow and provide the best possible learning experience your child can have. Our by-law committee was comprised of several of our wonderful volunteers, parents, and current Board Memebers who spent the majority of their free time last month reviewing our by-laws. At the February SVO meeting, these changes were presented by the committee and discussed. You can get the current by-laws here and a copy of the proposed by-laws here. These by-laws will be voted on for approval at our March 8th General SVO Meeting. Since the proposed by-laws will change the timeline for the Executive Board Election, nominations will now be accepted through our March meeting in anticipation of the new guidleines being ratified.
